The high current pulse generator PG 5-4500 has been designed for pulse-current testing of electric components, overvoltage protectors and electronic circuits acc. IEC, VDE etc.

The basic version generates impulse currents with waveform 1.5/5000 µs and peak value 250 A ( 2 x 125A). In addition to that, the energy storage capacitance is switchable from 100 F to 400 F.

The pulse-forming network contains a pulse-fidelity current viewing resistor for monitoring the output waveform.

The PG 5-4500 features a microprocessor-controlled user interface and a 5” touch screen unit for ease of use.

The microprocessor allows the user to execute either standard test routines or a “user-defined” test sequence. A standard USB port provides the ability to print a summary of the test parameters to a USB stick.
