The Medical market has further oversite since people’s lives are on the line. In the US the FDA oversees medical equipment manufacturers and sets what requirements are required to show compliance. In Europe the Medical Device Directive (MDD) must be adhered to show compliance. The one standard that is used most predominantly for EMC requirements is the IEC 60601-1-2.
