Space

Outer Space is a unique requirement and the final environment in space really does not have much to worry about when it comes to EMC. However, there is the environment before it gets into space it needs to survive so its final deployment is successful. Since there are no repair facilities in space, stakes are high. The time it is moving and sitting on the launch pad does have some possible EMC issues that must be mitigated. Mostly the MIL-STD-461 standard is used with lower requirements. As experience is gained and space travel becomes more common, requirements will evolve
