Jason Smith

Jason Smith, President & Founder, Absolute EMC LLC

Jason Smith earned his B.S. in Engineering Technology from the University of Delaware in 1997 and brings over 30 years of hands‑on expertise in the EMC industry. He began his career leading test operations at an independent EMC laboratory in Pennsylvania before advancing to Applications Engineering Manager for a leading EMC/RF test‑equipment manufacturer.

Throughout his career, Jason has contributed to international EMC standards development as a member of the U.S. National Committee (USNC) for IEC‑SC77B and SC77C, an active participant in WG10 (IEC 61000‑4‑3 and ‑4‑6), and as a member of the SAE AE2 Lightning Committee. His close collaboration with top EMC/EMI equipment vendors has given him a deep understanding of the latest test technologies and methodologies.

 

In July 2018, Jason founded Absolute EMC LLC to deliver specialized sales, consulting, and system‐integration services for IEC, MIL‑STD, automotive, and avionics EMC testing. By partnering with every major test‑equipment manufacturer, Absolute EMC provides tailored solutions—the right equipment, training, and support—to meet the rigorous demands of today’s compliance laboratories.
