Power Generation

Power generation is becoming more and more complex, with new technologies being advanced all the time. These technologies produce new problems not seen before. For example, Early deployment of household smart meters found problems with measurements. This has been quickly rectified but with great cost. Standards are evolving and being introduced to cover these new issues. Soler energy, wind power, wave energy all are proving to have new requirements. Some common standards related to the power generation environment, IEC 61000-4-16 (common mode), -4-18(Dampened Oscillatory Wave), -4-19(differential mode), -4-31(White Noise). These requirements need new way to couple the signal and test.
