Overview
The optoCharger™ is a battery powered, bidirectional optical interface designed to isolate and transmit communication signals between an Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) charging station and an Electric Vehicle (EV) during EMC/EMI testing. Its fiber optic link and shielded aluminum enclosure make it ideally suited for high noise environments—compliant with CISPR 25 Class 5 requirements—ensuring measurement integrity and operator safety.

Bi Directional Optical Link Transmits Control Pilot (PLC), CAN, low level signals, and auxiliary lines (e.g. temperature monitoring, connector lock) across a 20 m multimode fiber.
Integrated Battery Power Seven NiMH cells (8.4 V, 4 Ah) deliver approximately 10 hours of run time; extendable via external battery pack.
Rugged, Shielded Housing Anodized aluminum enclosure with rubber bumpers, grounding lug, and stacking capability (140 × 86 × 65 mm).
Universal Charging Standards Supports CCS, CHAdeMO, and GB/T protocols for broad compatibility.
Simple Connectivity BNC connector for Control Pilot, D SUB 15 female for all other signal lines, plus optional FSMA optical connector.
