optoSENT

The optoSENT system is a high-performance solution for transmitting asynchronous SENT (Single Edge Nibble Transfer) signals in EMI and EME test environments. Available in two versions—asynchronous and synchronous—the system offers unparalleled versatility for automotive and industrial testing needs.

Key Features and Configurations

  1. Asynchronous Transmission:

    • Supports optical transmission of 1 or 2 SENT signal channels.
    • Delivers a minimum resolution of 8 bits per channel with a maximum bandwidth of approximately 1 MHz.
  2. Synchronous Transmission:

    • Provides digital sampling for precise data synchronization.
    • Includes the capability to transmit a sync pulse to a connected sensor.
    • Features integrated sensor power supply (standard 5V), eliminating the need for additional wiring.
  3. Rugged and Portable Design:

    • Comprises a battery-powered transmitter and receiver connected via optical cables.
    • Encased in a shielded housing to ensure high performance in EMI/EME environments.
  4. Optional 19" Rack Integration:

    • One side of the system can be integrated into a 19" rack housing for fixed setups.
    • Supports up to eight automotive communication links, including SENT, CAN, and FlexRay, in a single rack.
    • Reduces setup time, minimizes error sources, and saves tabletop space.

Applications
The optoSENT system is ideal for applications requiring precise optical transmission of SENT signals, including automotive and industrial testing setups where signal integrity and performance are critical.

The optoSENT system’s robust design, high-resolution capabilities, and customizable configurations make it a reliable and flexible solution for demanding test environments. Whether used for asynchronous or synchronous SENT signal transmission, this system delivers exceptional performance and adaptability for modern testing needs.
