optical transmitter for SENT signals: optoSENT-2dThe optoSENT system was developed for the transmission of asynchronous SENT signals (Single Edge Nibble Transfer) and exists in two different versions:

The asynchronous system can be used for the optical transmission (1 or 2 channels) with a resolution of min. 8Bit per channel and a maximal bandwidth of approx. 1MHz.

In the synchronous version, the sampling is digital and the system can transmit a sync pulse to a sensor (1 or 2 channels). The connected sensor is powered by our transmitter (standard is 5V) and does not need any further wiring.

The system consists of a battery supplied transmitter and receiver which are connected via optical cables. With the optical transmission and the shielded case, the devices are well equipped for EMI and EME tests.

One side of the system can be integrated into a 19" rack housing (optional). If the equipment is always used at the same place, this can reduce error sources, needs a shorter set up time, and does not occupy as much space on the table. The 19" case can hold up to 8 different or equal automotive links (SENT, CAN, Flexray etc.). The channels can be integrated later on.
