CDN ISN S8 RJ45, CDN/ISN for Shielded Telecom lines, Acc IEC 61000-4-6/CISPR 32The CDN ISN S8 RJ45 is a CDN for conducted common mode immunity testing according to IEC 61000-4-6. Additionally it complies to the ISN specifications as given in CISPR 16-1-2. The CDN ISN S8 RJ45 can be used for both emission and immunity testing. The CDN ISN S8 RJ45 is intended for measurements on devices with a shielded RJ45 interface, such as Ethernet networks in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 230 MHz. The device features a Cat.6 cable. This allows for all data rates up to 10 GBit/s, as the cabling in the test setup does not contain long and parallel cable runs. As this device meets the specifications for both CDNs and ISNs, it can be used for emission and immunity applications. They will be adressed seperately. Use as a CDN The CDN complies with the requirements of IEC 61000-4-6, IEC 61326 and NAMUR NE21. Each CDN comes with individually measured data and a calibration certificate for the common mode impedance and the voltage division fac- tor. It can be used from 9 kHz to 230 MHz, but the standards call for use from 10 or 150 kHz only. A variety of calibration adapters and other accessories are available as op- tion. With the two included adapters SA RJ45 in conjunction with the optional series resistor SR100-6W, the required spacing of 30 mm is obtained as depicted in Fig. 9 of IEC 61000-4-6. The connection to ground can be accomplished using the ground plane of the CDN. Additionally there is a M4 thread located at the AE side to ground as well as a 4 mm socket to connect the device to ground. Use as an ISN CISPR32 / EN55032 describes the use as an ISN in the frequency range 9 kHz to 30 MHz. In this case the RF port is connected to the test receiver. The internal series resistor causes a voltage division factor of approx. 10dB; For precise measurements the actual VDF needs to be taken from the calibration certificate.
