Surge-Sense (EN 61000-4-5)

The Surge Sense has been developed with EMC test laboratories in mind to enable a “go/no-go” verification of the surge generator output prior to the test. The Surge sense produces an arbitrary pulse length measurement that is dependent upon the surge energy - amplitude and duration. If either of these parameters changes, then the pulse length measurement changes. This gives a very quick, repeatable check prior to testing and enables simple trend analysis data to be captured.
