HS 3D-SENS100T1 3D DC Magnetic Field Sensor Head

The HS 3D-SENS100T1 is a 3-dimensional magnetic field sensor head for measuring DC fields, such as the earth's magnetic field. Magnetic field values can be measured separately from the x-, y- and z-axis. The  HS  3D  CONTROL  display unit is required to display the measured values.

  • Ideal to use to measure ambient magnetic field for DO-160 Section 15

Beginning of operation

Operation environment

The HS 3D-SENS100T1 is primarily intended for indoor use. When measuring outdoors, it must be protected from all kinds of weather, especially moisture.

Alignment and position of the sensor:

The groove in the sensor head marks the center of the sensor The sensor is positioned and aligned as in the sketch on the left. The X axis points to the right, the Y axis to the front and the Z axis out of the drawing plane upwards.

Calibrating the sensor to zero:

An optional zero-Gauss chamber (Opt. 5136 ZG) is available on request to perform a zero-point DC calibration. The zero-Gauss chamber eliminates the terrestrial static magnetic field and possible man-made static fields. It is usually not required for the measurement of alternating magnetic fields.
