1.00 m spacing
Specified for best homogeneity. The coil factor is 70.45 m?¹, producing 1,409 A/m continuously at 20 A. A current of approximately 1.42 A produces 100 A/m.
Precisely defined magnetic fields. From DC to 3 kHz.
The Schwarzbeck HHS 5218-100-2.5 coil pair generates a magnetic field with a directly calculable relationship to coil current. Adjustable spacing lets you select the configuration for your field strength and homogeneity requirements.

TEST STANDARDS:
The field strength is determined by coil geometry, number of turns and current. This linear relationship allows magnetic field calibration to be traced to a current measurement, or to the voltage drop across a known resistor.
The datasheet describes the coil as generally serving as a primary standard. For independent field verification, use a loop sensor for AC fields or a Hall probe for DC and AC fields. A short connecting cable set is included.
Specified for best homogeneity. The coil factor is 70.45 m?¹, producing 1,409 A/m continuously at 20 A. A current of approximately 1.42 A produces 100 A/m.
The coil factor increases to 86.05 m?¹. At 40 A, the specified maximum field is approximately 3,442 A/m for up to 5 minutes.
All coil spacings are measured from coil center to coil center. The maximum current rating is 40 A for 5 minutes; the continuous nominal rating is 20 A.

Dangerous high voltages can occur at the HHS 5218-100-2.5 and NFCN 9732 during operation, exceeding the amplifier output voltage. Never touch terminals during operation. Switch off the complete system before making or removing connections. High current heats the coils: maintain sufficient air circulation and keep coil surfaces free of heat-insulating coverings. Read the full datasheet before use.
