The Schwarzbeck HHS 5206-132 generates defined magnetic fields from DC to 30 kHz. Its 132-turn coils provide a calculable relationship between drive current and magnetic field strength.

Magnetic field strength is proportional to coil current. Coil geometry, the number of turns and the applied current determine the resulting field, allowing the field measurement to be traced to a current measurement or the voltage drop across a known resistor.
The field depends on coil spacing and the position within the test volume. Use the reference spacings in the specifications and the field distribution data in the datasheet when selecting your setup.

Short-duration operation
The maximum coil current is 15 A (5 min.). Observe the stated time limit and provide adequate ventilation. The frequency range alone does not imply that maximum current or field is available at every frequency.

Installation and operating safety

High currents heat the coils; maintain adequate air circulation. Keep unintended magnetic field sources and magnetic materials away from the test volume.
