FESP 5410-1 – DC–10 MHz Square Induction Coil for Magnetic Field Immunity

The FESP 5410-1 is a 1 m square induction coil designed to generate well-defined magnetic fields for EMC immunity testing in accordance with IEC 61000-4-8, IEC 61000-4-9, and IEC 61000-4-10. With a usable frequency range from DC to 10 MHz and a robust mechanical design, it is ideal for power-frequency, pulsed, and oscillatory magnetic field immunity tests on industrial, automotive, and infrastructure equipment. 

When driven by a suitable high-current source such as the MFPO 9760 current transformer, the FESP 5410-1 can achieve short-time magnetic fields above 1000 A/m and continuous fields up to 360 A/m at the coil center.

    • Aluminum conductor with 10 × 25 mm cross-section for low resistance and mechanical stability.

    • Integrated 22 × 195 mm mounting tube for use on standard masts and fixtures.

    • Equipped with M16 male screw terminals for secure, low-resistance, high-current connections to the drive source.

Operation with MFPO 9760

Paired with the MFPO 9760 current transformer and pulse generator, the FESP 5410-1 forms a complete magnetic field immunity system:

  • MFPO 9760 provides controlled high current at 50/60 Hz with adjustable ON-times and pulsed operation.

  • The FESP 5410-1 converts this current into a well-characterized magnetic field at the EUT location, achieving >1000 A/m (short-time) and 360 A/m continuous at the coil center. 

  • AM 5410-1 Mounting kit for the FESP 5410-1/ MFPO 9760, composed of:
    • - aluminum base with wheels for the MFPO 9760;
    • - glass-fiber mast;
    • - adapter to mount the FESP 5410-1 on the fiberglass mast.

This combination is ideal for accredited EMC labs and in-house qualification facilities requiring repeatable, standards-based magnetic field tests.
