U1/8, 1 Channel, 50 MHz, Analog Fiber-optic links

These measuring systems are used for the optical, digital transmission of analog signals with a resolution of 8 Bit and a maximal analog bandwidth of 50 MHz.

They consist of a transmitter supplied by an external power supply, a plastic optical fiber, and a receiver – which also has an external power supply.

Due to their insensitivity to strong electromagnetic fields above the specified transmission range, the systems are suitable for testing electromagnetic compatibility in EMC test chambers, TEM cells, and strip lines. The signal to be measured is filtered, sampled, digitized, and transmitted to the receiver via an optical transmitter system. At the receiver, the digital data stream is again converted into an analog signal and can be measured with a high-impedance probe (e.g., an oscilloscope) at the output.

• => input range +/-15 V with this filter
• output level at receiver stays at +/-5 V => calculate with factor "*3" at measurement device
