Description

CG50/500LLA Comb Generator serves as reference signal source designed for testing Line Impedance Stabilization Networks (LISN). It generates harmonics aligned with the fundamental frequency within a frequency band ranging from 50kHz to 30MHz, with a switchable step size of 50kHz or 500kHz. This flexibility enables thorough checks and investigations on conducted measurement systems, facilitating usage with LISN and standard connectors for both conducted and radiated emission measurements in EMI Chambers. The battery, when fully charged, ensures continuous operation for up to 16 hours. Included with the Comb Generator are a battery charger, loop antenna, USB cable, and accessories packaged in a storage box.

Application

The main purpose of a Comb Generator is to efficiently validate setups for conducted & radiated emissions testing. Its primary application lies in troubleshooting conducted measurements using a LISN and EMI Radiation emission chamber.

With the Comb Generator, the test engineer can conduct frequent and rapid verifications of the conducted test setup, ensuring the reliability of test results.

Additional potential applications of the CG50/500LLA Conducted Comb Generator may involve the production evaluation of components, such as cable shields and filters.
