PLA-SET for Site Validation

Precision Loop Antenna (PLA Set)

The Precision Loop Antenna (PLA) set includes two active, battery-powered loop antennas designed specifically for site validation. Covering a broad frequency range from 9 kHz to 30 MHz, it is ideal for both Normalized Site Attenuation (NSA) measurements and Shielding Effectiveness (SE) testing.

NSA Measurements at 3 m, 5 m, and 10 m are simplified with sufficient dynamic range, all necessary documentation, and complete calibration included. The setup is easy thanks to the integrated tripod and laser alignment system. A decoupling unit is also included to prevent ground loops, ensuring accurate results.

Shielding Effectiveness (SE) can be accurately measured with a high dynamic range, without the need for an external power amplifier or low noise preamplifier.

Product Highlights

  • Active transmit and receive antennas for versatile testing
  • Integrated tripod with laser alignment for easy setup
  • Ample transmit power for a wide range of applications
  • Low noise floor for accurate measurements
  • Battery-powered for flexibility in the field
  • Individually calibrated for precise results

Applicable Standards

  • CISPR 16-1-4
  • EN 50147-1
  • IEEE 299

MS5 In CISPR 16-1-4 the NSA method to validate fully anechoic rooms in the frequency range 9 kHz – 30 MHz will be defined. Our PLA antennas including stand were specially designed to fulfill the requirements.
The PLA-Set is also suitable for SE measurements according to EN 50147-1 and IEEE 299
