Single Event

The first meeting attracted scientists and engineers from the United States and Western Europe. The NEM meeting was later renamed as the High-Power Electromagnetics Meeting, or HPEM. When this meeting was held in 1994 in Bordeaux, France, it was renamed as EUROEM, and subsequently, the meetings held in North America were called AMEREM. These meetings have been held every even year since 1978. In 2015, due to the increased number of papers from Asia, it was decided to hold the first ASIAEM Conference in Jeju, South Korea. The following meetings were organized in India and China and were called ASIAEM. In 2022, the meeting was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and was renamed GLOBALEM. The meeting will continue in 2024 at GLOBALEM in Austin, TX, and will continue to be known as GLOBALEM.
